Have you ever created a vision board for manifestation? I like to make one every year on January 1st to envision what my coming year will look like. My preference is to get together with friends and eat some delicious snacks while we chat and work on our boards, but you can do this alone! You also don’t have to wait until the new year to do this, although it’s a great time for it. Let’s dive into how to make a vision board for manifestation!
Think about your goals
When you manifest, you need to get really specific about what you’re trying to bring into your life. It could be money, travel, good health, ease, a home you love, a great relationship, a career milestone, or something else. This is a good opportunity to make a list of what you plan to accomplish and the feelings you want you cultivate over the next year. Better yet, try phrasing it like that thing is already yours: “I have plenty of money to live a comfortable life” or “I have friendships that excite me.”
Find your images
Once you’re clear on your goals and what you’ll be manifesting, it’s time to find images to represent these things. Pinterest has a lot of great ones, as does Pexels.com. If you want to travel but you aren’t sure where, you could find pictures of planes, or if you have a destination in mind, you can look up that specific locale. If you want to do more fun things with your friends, look for images of girl’s nights, friend trips, or picnics in the park. For wealth, you can get pictures of money, a specific bank balance, or even the specific things you’d buy with your increase in cash. I also like to look for quotes; things that I hope will exemplify my mindset during the next year. Print out your images, grab some cardstock and glue, and get ready to manifest.
Make a vision board for manifestation
At this point, it’s all up to you. Arrange it as artistically as you want, decorate however you see fit. Just make sure you’re being intentional with this process. Take the time to picture your upcoming year as you glue each image down. Think about how you’ll feel once you have these things. Reflect on your goals and why you want them. If you’re with friends, discuss how you’ll support each other in accomplishing these things.
Remember, the goal of a vision board isn’t to be beautiful, although of course you should make it look however you want. The purpose of this exercise is to help you visualize your goals and the things you are manifesting throughout the year.
Display your vision board
My vision board hangs on my office bulletin board, where I can see it each time I’m working. It really helps; when I’m feeling stuck or frustrated I can look up and remind myself of what I’m working towards. It also helps me remember what I’ve already accomplished. That trip to Costa Rica? Check. Good meals shared with friends? Check.
Other good places to keep your vision board include your bedside, on your bedroom mirror, or (if you don’t mind guests seeing it) on your fridge. Keeping it somewhere you’ll see regularly will keep your goals at the forefront of your mind, which is so important as you continue to work towards them.
